WSG Update: Service Pause & Next Steps
4 September 2025
Dear WSG community,
As founder, I want to share a transparent update.
What we built together
WSG 1.0 ran for nearly three years and, overall, it went amazingly well. Ultimately we had to close it because the tokenomics weren't optimized. We took time to regroup and rethink. With Arbitrum's rise and some personal connections, we secured solid KOL support and a strategy that helped WSG 2.0 reach even bigger heights.
Importantly, WSG 1.0 holders were front-of-mind. We granted allocations of WSG 2.0 to the 1.0 community, paired with high early liquidity. That created a strong window in which many realized meaningful profits. We also know some couldn't—or chose not to—exit in that window; our aim was to consider everyone and do right by early supporters, and that principle hasn't changed.
Where we are now
Today, on-chain volume on Arbitrum is very low, and WSG trading volume is low as well. Keeping the full stack online costs more than the project generates — a cost we've been covering for a while. We also stopped album and in-game rewards hoping it would stabilize things; in hindsight, doing that earlier might have been better. We held off because earning while playing is a core part of what makes WSG special.
What's changing
- We're shutting down all servers except the website (NFTs, Withdrawals, Deposits will be shut down)
- All game-side rewards and album rewards remain stopped.
- This is a pause, not a promise of a relaunch.
The path forward (no promises)
If we find a real catalyst—the kind of opportunity that made WSG 2.0 viable—we'll evaluate ways to reward previous holders again and either re-relaunch with a new token or properly optimize the existing one. As before, any approach would start with respecting our long-standing community, but we'll only move with sustainable tokenomics and clear partners.
Thank you
Thank you for riding with us—from 1.0 to 2.0 and beyond. Your support, feedback, and patience have meant everything.
